I was in Jersey City recently, enjoying a walk along the waterfront, when I noticed one of my favorite buildings across the Hudson River in NYC, 56 Leonard (below left), which is sometimes referred to as the “Jenga building.” Check out our prior coverage of this building at The Arts Adventurer here.

But as I continued to walk around Jersey City, I noticed a similarly “stacked” building on my side of the Hudson River (below right), which I learned is named the “Urby Building.” The Urby is a 70-story residential tower, and is currently the third tallest building in all of NJ! Its variations between the stacked sections isn’t quite as dramatic as 56 Leonard, but it’s pretty cool-looking too.
